Personal Mobility

This category is a sub-set of DME and includes scooters wheelchairs (manual & powered). In a similar manner as ensuring that adaptive equipment is compatible with a particular vehicle, it is important that there is a proper match between the person’s height, weight, body measurements, and disability to the particular DME item. Also, if a health care professional writes a prescription we must abide by that document.
